SCHOLARSHIPS



ELIGIBILITY


Must be a legal, dependent spouse of a military sponsor. The military spouse must be assigned to perform active duty at Offutt AFB. Incases where the military sponsor is retired or deceased the applicant must reside within the following counties: Cass, Sarpy, Douglas in Nebraska or Mills or Pottawattamie Counties in Iowa.


High School students must be programmed for 2013 High School graduation with at least a "C" average. Each Spouse applicant must have a high school diploma, or GED certificate or have completed a minimum of six credit hours with a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale from an accredited college or vocational school.


Each student applicant must show intent to complete post-secondary curriculum (i.e. college, vocational training or business school).


Each applicant must demonstrate academic excellence. These awards will be presented on a non-discriminatory basis without regard to race, sex, creed, national origin, or religious affiliation.  


Acceptance of a full tuition scholarship from any other source will render the applicant ineligible.


Acceptance of a 2013 Offutt Officer's Spouses Club Scholarship will render the applicant ineligible.


A spouse of any member of the OESC Scholarship Committe or Selection Committee will be ineligible during the year in which the member serves.  Children/Step-Children of any member of OESC Scholarship Committee or Selection Committee will be ineligble during the year in which the parent or guardian serves.
